Opal wire wrapped pendants
This is a nice approx 25mm Australian Boulder opal with blue and teeny pinpricks of green flash peeking out from the surrounding ironstone. Its wrapped with 14k gold fill wire, and a pendant to treasure.
The finished pendant is 40mm and has a loop at the top back for hanging.
Nature at its most beautiful.
This is an Andamooka rainbow opal matrix direct from the miner! Its very hard to capture the colours of this stone in a photo, it is just beautiful with a lovely play of colours across the surface when the light hits it.
An irregular tear shaped 30mm cabochon with a sort of dome, I have wrapped it with sterling silver round and twisted wire to best complement the opal. It is raised in the middle and the coiled wire is wrapped to frame the side of the opal with the flash. It looks like a brown stone until you move it from side to side, its lovely internal red and green fire is revealed! Because of its irregular shape in some of the photos the bail looks crooked, but it isnt, I have just positioned the opal to catch the light on the side. The finished pendant measures 40mm. Truly one of a kind to treasure.
This is a HUGE 50mm oval boulder opal! It has some very interesting colours, the opal within the ironstone is gorgeous. The surface isn't perfect so I am selling it for a bit less, however it's still a stunning piece. Wrapped with sterling silver wire, the finished pendant is 60mm long. Just add your favourite chain.
This is a large 45mm long boulder opal! It has some very interesting colours, the opal within the ironstone with some blue in one corner. The surface isn't perfect so I am selling it for a bit less, however it's still a stunning piece. Wrapped with sterling silver wire, including coiled, the finished pendant is 60mm long. Just add your favourite chain.
This is a beautiful Opal matrix direct from the miner in South Australia. It weighs 3.5gr and is 17.5cts of solid opal.
It has red, violet and green flashes which are almost impossible to catch in a photo, but I tried! Just fascinating to watch the change of light change the colours. It may not be the flashiest
opal I have seen but it is still lovely and unusual.
The opal measures 35mm long and the finished pendant is 50mm. Wrapped with sterling silver wire, this is an item to treasure.
This is a small 20mm polished Australian boulder opal - very unusual markings. I've wrapped it in sterling silver wire and the finished pendant measures 30mm. Lovely!
This is an absolutely enormous Australian Boulder Opal measuring 55mm x 30mm. It has a gentle curve in the middle and lovely flashes of purple and blue opal through the natural surrounding ironstone.
Ive wrapped it in sterling silver wire and it has a large loop for hanging.
The finished pendant measures almost 70mm long! What a statement.
A very unusual boulder opal! It measures 55mm long x 15mm at the widest part. There is a streak of blue down one side and the other is mostly ironstone. Ive wrapped it with sterling silver wire so that it can be worn with either side facing and it could be worn by either guys or gals. The finished pendant is a HUGE 70mm drop. Quite a statement and absolutely one of a kind!
An unusual shaped boulder opal, I have threaded 14k gold fill wire through the top and around the stone to make a simple pendant that measures 30mm.
